Many golfers dream of being a pro or wonder how it feels to be one. Brands are starting to take notice of this as Mizuno initiated their “Play Famously” campaign and now, Titleist is joining the party. Starting June 19th, Titleist will be offering WedgeWork’s Hand Ground wedges from its Vokey Tour Department to the public! As Masters Craftman Bob Vokey said, he’s “excited to make this Tour-level experience available to the Vokey wedge enthusiast!”
The WedgeWork’s Hand Ground wedges will be available in 58º and 60º lofts with precision-milled SM4 grooves and will be in a raw finish, which was previously only available on Tour. The next step is customization of your wedges which ranges from the sole grinds (M, V, E and T), with V, E, and T available only through the Hand Ground program! You will also be able to customize the shape of your wedge as well as the sole and leading edge. Some of the options include square toe, straighter or pre-worn leading edge, additional heel relief, thinner or beveled top line and a pro-groove sole.
The average golfer probably does not need this much customization for their wedges. But for a MSRP of $350 USD inclusive of grips, shaft and customization, golfers get an experience that they won’t soon forget! When else will you be able to have a Titleist craftsman hand grind, polish and buff your wedge and finish it off with personalized stamping and a hand-stamped hosel code. You may even be lucky enough to have your wedge worked on by Bob Vokey himself! Just hope you see the initials “BV” on your wedge!
