The Turkish Airlines Open is set to begin this week in Antalya at the Montgomery Maxx Royal Golf Club – it is the third event in the European Tour’s Final Series for the Race to Dubai. In addition to the Top 60 in the Race to Dubai standings though, Tiger Woods will also be making an appearance in this tournament. He is reportedly being paid $2.5 million to play in this tournament as well as take part in pre-tournament events, such as this outrageous publicity stunt on the Bosphorus Bridge yesterday! Although it may have caused some inconveniences to local residents, it is definitely a way to grow interest into the sport of golf in Turkey, the 4th most popular country in the world for golf tourists!
