Matt Fitzpatrick is one of the top amateur golfers in the world and his rise to the top came rapidly. After winning the British Boys Champion in 2012, Matt also qualified for the Open Championship at Muirfield and won the Silver Medal for best amateur! A month after the Open Championship, Matt traveled to the United States to compete in the US Amateur Championship and became the first Englishman in 102 years to win the tournament!
By becoming the US Amateur Champion, Matt will have a busy few months ahead of him as he qualified for the Masters at Augusta, the US Open and the Open Championship. With these opportunities ahead of him, Matt decided to forgo his golf scholarship at Northwestern University to go back to Britain and focus solely on golf!
