The Farmers Insurance Open started yesterday at Torrey Pines in San Diego, California and we can’t help but look back at the 2008 US Open. That was the last Major championship Tiger Woods has won, his 14th, in a playoff against Rocco Mediate. Tiger Woods has absolutely owned Torrey Pines winning there a total of 8 times professional (7 Farmers Insurance Opens, 1 US Open), including last year’s Farmers Insurance Open, and 6 times as an amateur.
Currently after the first round, Tiger Woods is even par for the tournament after shooting an opening round 72 on the North Course at Torrey Pines. The leader, Stewart Cink, shot an opening round 64 for a score of 8-under par on the South Course. Make sure to catch all the action this week!
