Taylormade JetSpeed

TaylorMade-JetSpeed_v2

Taylormade has done it again – they’ve already had an earlier release of the SLDR driver, SLDR fairway woods and Speedblade irons, and today, they’ve announced their new line of JetSpeed woods. This new line of woods (driver, fairway woods, hybrids) will replace the existing RBZ Stage 2 line of woods in December. With all these new lines of equipment, “The Year of Loft” from Taylormade has begun!

What’s new in the JetSpeed line of woods compared to the RBZ Stage 2 though is the use of Taylormade’s Speed Pocket technology. The JetSpeed driver (above) will be the first to feature this technology, which is aimed at reducing spin and increasing speed and distance on mishits. Furthermore, the club will feature a low, forward Centre of Gravity (CG) location to produce faster ballspeeds compared to previous models. The JetSpeed driver will also feature a 12-position loft sleeve for adjustability on a lightweight (49 grams) 46″ shaft.

The JetSpeed fairway woods (above) will also feature the Speed Pocket technology and is considered by Taylormade reps to be “the longest, most playable fairway woods ever.” Similarly, the JetSpeed hybrids (below) will also feature the same design elements as the fairway woods. This Speed Pocket Technology in the hybrids does remind us of the “New Idea Hybrids” by Adams (part of Taylormade), so make sure to check those out too! Expect to see the JetSpeed line of woods available in December, just in time for the holidays!
