Ever since becoming the number 1 player in the world, Rory McIlroy’s world has gone through many changes. The biggest change was changing his equipment from Titleist clubs to Nike. Other sponsor opportunities also presented itself, including the announcement of Rory’s partnership with Bose before the 2013 Honda Classic.
Although he is now over taken by Tiger Woods in the World Rankings, opportunities are still coming in. Despite being a brand ambassador for Audemars Piguet in the past, it seems that the contract has expired and Rory has now moved on to partner up with Swiss watchmaker OMEGA in a multi-year deal! Joining the likes of Nicole Kidman, George Clooney and Daniel Craig, aka James Bond, Rory hopes to contribute to OMEGA’s global marketing strategy! And of course, there will always be jokes about Rory never being late for a tee time again! Ryder Cup anyone?
