The 2013 President’s Cup is set to begin from October 1 – 6 at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin Ohio and we’re getting a sneak peak at Team USA and Team International’s apparel for the week, released by Ashworth Golf and Peter Millar, respectively.
For Team USA, Ashworth Golf is bringing modern style to the golf course by supplying the team with more athletic fitting apparel. As seen below, Team USA’s uniforms will feature a collection of uniquely-designed golf shirts embodying the colours of the USA – red, white and navy blue. Each of the 12 team members will also receive two layering pieces in dark grey and navy. What might be the most unique thing about this apparel collection is the involvement of Team USA Captain, Fred Couples. In addition to his duties as captain, Couples also played the role of designer, being involved in the process of choosing colours, fabrics and styles as well as working to incorporate his favourite design elements from apparel worn throughout his career into the team’s wardrobe.
The International Team’s apparel will be supplied by Peter Millar as they combine the history of the event with their signature style – timeless craftsmanship, sophistication and bright, yet subtle, colours. The clothing will have a slim, athletic fit made of performance fabrics that offer the finest in luxury apparel styling. The apparel will be made from a range of super 120’s wool, imported cotton dress shirts, silk neckwear, 100% cashmere sweaters, superfine wool pants and performance fabrics.
