Lydia Ko only turned professional a couple of months ago at the age of 16 and has made two professional starts – her first start at the CME Group Titleholders and her second start, which she won, at the Swinging Skirts World Ladies Masters Tournament in Taipei, Taiwan! She’s no stranger to winning on the big stage though – as an amateur, she won the CN Canadian Women’s Open in 2012 and in 2013 and also won the New Zealand Women’s Open. Because of her amateur status though, she could not collect the almost $1.2 million earned from winning these tournaments!
In this video, Golfing World sits down and speaks to Lydia Ko about her school work (she still has 1 year left of high school!), possible post-secondary options, turning professional and playing golf as well as her idols on the LPGA Tour.
