Ping Golf recently introduced the new i25 line of equipment as well as the Karsten Combo Set of irons and hybrids. In addition to those two lines of equipment, Ping Golf also introduced five new putters featuring their popular True Roll (TR) Technology – the Karsten TR Putters. The design of these Karsten TR putters were inspired by the theme “Modern Heritage.” These putters are cast in 17-4 stainless steel and will feature a copper PVD finish and include models to fit all stroke types (straight, slight arc and strong arc). The models include Anser 2 (345g, Slight Arc), B60 (345g, Slight Arc) , PAL (360g, Slight Arc), Anser 5 (365g, Straight), and Zing (350g, Strong Arc).
The True Roll (TR) technology in the Karsten TR putters are actually milled directly into the face. The grooves are shallow around the perimeter of the face and increase in depth towards the middle – this variable groove on the face produces more consistent ball speed and improves distance control. The back of the putters features an elastomer insert, placed directly behind the center of the face and allows the face to be thinned to redistribute weight to the heel and toe for an increased MOI, or stability on off-center hits. Better sound and feel is also given to players as they hit closer to the sweet spot of the putter. The Karsten TR putters have a US MSRP of $162.50 with an adjustable shaft length charge of $35.
