Day two of the PGA Tour’s Seven Days presented by Mercedes-Benz features rookie Russell Henley and his “Southern Charm.” He takes us around his old stomping grounds in Charleston and explains how he doesn’t take any of his success for granted.
Henley became the first PGA Tour rookie to win his debut in 12 years with a record-setting performance at the 2013 Sony Open in Hawaii. He finished at 24-under-par, breaking the Sony Open scoring record by 4-shots. It was the second-lowest score for a 72-hole tournament in PGA Tour history, two shots behind Tommy Armour III at the Valero Texas Open in 2003. This win gave Henley an invitation to the 2013 Masters Tournament and the PGA Championship, two of the four Majors in the PGA Tour’s season.
