Part 5 of our Mizuno Yoro Japan Crafted program introduction is here! The club head is starting to be finalized by now – the grooves have been manufactured and the loft and lies have been set. In today’s video for part 5, we see Mizuno Technicians carefully inspecting every detail of the club head to ensure there are no errors or imperfections. A “plating process” is then completed after the stringent checks. Next in the manufacturing process is what they would call “sandblasting,” which creates a matte finish on parts of the golf club. This is all done by hand to create a unique finish to every golf club that they manufacture – the Mizuno MP-52 is a great example of a matte finish through “sandblasting,” where the “Dual Muscle” and “MP-52” stamps are located.
