A new year also comes new comers on the PGA and LPGA Tours and this new generation of golfers is ready to make an impact. One in particular was making headlines while she was still an amateur and that’s Lydia Ko – after an outstanding amateur career, Ko turned professional a couple of months ago at the age of 16. In the video above, she discusses this decision and talks about joining the LPGA Tour.
As an amateur, Ko won back to back CN Canadian Women’s Open in 2012 and 2013 as well as the New Zealand Women’s Open. Her first professional victory came quickly after turning professional at the Swinging Skirts World Ladies Masters Tournament in Taipei, Taiwan. We hope she continues playing well and getting more victories in 2014!
