We were lucky enough to witness 15 years young Lydia Ko win the CN Canadian Open in the summer of 2012 and now, she’s at it again. Playing in her homeland of New Zealand in the New Zealand Women’s Open, Lydia shot a final round 68 to win by one shot over American Amelia Lewis. This is her third professional victory and all before she’s old enough to drive! Up next for Lydia is the ISPS Handa Women’s Australia Open from February 14-17. This is the opener for the LPGA season and we can’t wait to see how Lydia does in the land down under!
On the PGA Tour, Brandt Snedeker was victorious in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am after finishing runner up to Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson the last two weeks. This definitely puts him as the hottest player on tour right now! James Hahn played very well this week and finished tied third with a score of 14-under. There was no “GangHahn Style” dancing this week though! As for Phil Mickelson, he struggled a bit this week and finished tied 60th with a score of 1-under. Quite disappointing to say the least after seeing him put on a clinic last week at the Waste Management Phoenix Open! The most memorable thing about Phil this week was “Phil the Spill!” See the video below if you missed it!
