Kikkor Golf is the golf wear company, focusing on footwear manufacturing, founded by James Lepp, the runner up in last year’s The Big Break Greenbrier. Lepp really made a name for himself on and off the show with his unique “saucer pass” chip shot. Rather then bringing the golf club off the grass during the back swing, the idea of the “saucer pass” is to drag the golf club along the turf and bring it back forward without it ever leaving the ground.
Born in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Lepp was an avid hockey player before taking his talents onto the golf course (which explains the saucer pass!). He played collegiate golf for the University of Illinois and the University of Washington, eventually winning the NCAA Division 1 Championship as a Husky. He turned professional in 2006 and joined the Canadian Tour in 2007. He took time away from golf as he admittedly lost passion for the sport – he then turned his attention to starting Kikkor Golf. Although they’re known for their footwear, Kikkor Golf is also showcasing their first ever Men’s Clothing Line at the 2013 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida. The clothing line will include energetic spring colours, style and performance focused materials at appropriate prices (around the $30 range for polos).
