This week, the Tiger Wood’s World Challenge will take place for the last time in Southern California before moving to Florida next year. The tournament will feature 12 of the top 20 players in the world rankings and all but two of this year’s victorious US President’s Cup team. 20 year old Rookie of the Year, Jordan Spieth, will also be making his first appearance at the World Challenge while Rory McIlroy and Jason Day will both try to continue their hot streak after winning a tournament in Australia the last few weeks!
The most publicized news ahead of the World Challenge though was perhaps the request of die-hard Auburn fan, Jason Dufner! If you haven’t heard already, Jason requested tournament host Tiger Woods to move his tee time so he could watch his beloved Auburn football team play in the SEC Championship game! However, the request was quickly denied. Yesterday, Jason Dufner was a guest on the Dan Patrick Show and his twitter exchange with Tiger and his love for Auburn football was of course, the main topic of discussion! It also appears that Jason was not too happy with the color of his courtesy car at the World Challenge!
@JasonDufner Petition denied.
