Japan Golf Fair 2013, Day 3

The Japan Golf Fair came to a close over the weekend, but over the last few days, many of golf’s biggest brands and more localized brands showed off their products for this coming season (see Day 1 and Day 2 here). The Japan Golf Fair coincided with the world release of Taylormade’s R1 driver – at their booth, they had three sections, each dedicated to a line of equipment. One for the R1, one for Rocketballz and the last for their premium Japan line of equipment, the Gloire, which features all forged irons and drivers as well as the new carbon faced Gloire Reserve driver.

Nike Golf Japan was also showing off their new Covert VR_S driver, even displaying a human-sized driver head as a display piece at their booth. They also had a driving range available for visitors to test out equipment. Nike Golf President, Cindy Davis, was also in Japan to support the Japan Golf Fair, as seen in the photos below.

In addition to the big brands such as Taylormade, Nike, Callaway, Mizuno, etc., other local Japanese brands were on hand as well. Maruman Golf, whose clubs have earned over 100 PGA Tour victories world wide, including three Major Championships had their set of “Majesty” series woods and “Conductor” irons on display. These are listed on Forbes Magazine’s “Most Expensive” list as the most expensive set of golf clubs in the world! You can take a look at the Maruman Conductor Pro-X Forged Milling Muscle irons in the photos below – we think they’re great looking irons! Fourteen Golf also showed off their FH1000 irons which will be released soon (see photos below) – and we can say that they are some good looking clubs as well! Katana Golf was also present and has recently regained a lot of popularity and attention when they reintroduced their Sniper lines. They also featured their new Voltio line of premium distance clubs with silver, gold and black finishes. Other popular golf brands in Asia that were present include Honma Golf, Ryoma Golf and Yonex Golf which had their i-ezone driver on display.
