Inside the Chev: Callaway Supersoft Golf Ball

A few weeks ago, Callaway golf introduced their line of Speed Regime golf balls. This line of golf balls consists of three unique golf balls, the SR1, SR2 and SR3, all Tour level golf balls built for particular swing speeds. Another golf ball Callaway is releasing this year is the Supersoft, a two-piece golf ball with mid 30s compression and a zero compression core!

What this means is that the Supersoft golf ball deforms on impact when hit with a driver, fairway wood or a long iron. The deformation from the impact reduces the amount of torque on the ball, which reduces driver spin and results in increased distance. This reduction in spin also helps with dispersion of your shots as there are also less side spin. Despite all these characteristics that helps with the long game, the Supersoft also consists of a trionomer cover that provides good spin around the green! In short, the Supersoft is super long, super straight and super soft!
