Happy birthday, Ernie Els! On October 17th, the golfer known as the Big Easy turned 44 and Golfing World took this opportunity to reflect back on Ernie El’s outstanding career so far! Ernie turned professional in 1989 and since then, he has accumulated over 68 professional tournament victories worldwide! The four-time Major champion won two US Opens during the 1990s and added another Open Championship in 2002 in a 4-man playoff. It was not until ten years later that Ernie added his fourth Major Championship, aided by Adam Scott’s collapse at the 2012 Open Championship at Royal Lytham. Aside from racking up victories on the golf course, Ernie has also started his very own collection of Ernie Els Wines! We wonder how many more victories Ernie Els would’ve had if he didn’t have to play a certain player named Tiger Woods!
