We have touched on the topic of technology in golf before and how it has significantly impacted the game. There are many reasons for the game of golf to evolve and for the most part, access to new materials, new technology or a manufacturer’s innovation are responsible for these major evolution. Fitness for golfers has also changed as Tiger Woods arguably redefined modern golf all by himself! Golfing World is starting their Lab series in which they take a look at the timeline of “game changers,” in golf!
In part one, Golfing World gives an overview of all these game changers, including our equipment, the golf ball and how we use technology to track the flight of our shots as well as our golf swings! From a wooden ball to a feathery ball and now, a ball of made of completely different materials, we know the golf ball has evolved drastically. This is only one of many changes in golf and Golfing World will take a look at the major game changers in a timeline and analyze when, why and who were responsible for these changes!
