This past year, we have seen numerous methods of getting around the golf course in style. Bubba Watson got the ball rolling with his hovercraft however, there are more traditional but stylish golf carts as well! Michael Jordan’s golf cart has more customization than one can imagine but it may not even top a golf cart made by Mercedes-Benz or the Tumblr golf cart!
In recent years though, there have been concerns on the impact that golf carts may have on the golf course and its turf. To provide an alternative of getting around a golf course, an Australian company came out with the Golf Skate Caddy, which focused on providing a fun experience during a round of golf! Now a similar product has surfaced in the all new Golf Board! The Golf Board allow golfers to surf the golf course in a way that makes them feel like they are snowboarding, surfing or skateboarding. At the same time, it provides three different ways for you to golf while you surf, with the Bag Mount and Stability Handle, Classic Carry or the Free Ride method!
It is definitely an innovative way of getting around a golf course and it’s slowly gaining traction in the golf world. Recently, site of the 2015 US Open, Chambers Bay tested the Golf Board on its golf course, which is approximately a 7 mile trek and up and down 150 feet of elevation! According to Ryan Young, an assistant golf professional at Chambers Bay, it passed with flying colors and he seemed to have a great time testing the product too. Perhaps, we’ll be able to surf Chambers Bay the next time we pay them a visit!
