The idea behind G-Mac by Kartel collection began at the 2011 Irish Open in Killarney, where Karl Swan, managing director of Kartel Clothing, approached Graeme McDowell with the idea of launching a clothing line. Both parties had appreciation for each other in terms of style, quality and heritage in producing fine garments. The G-Mac by Kartel collection is a stylish, performance-based clothing line that uses inspiration from a time of understated sophistication. The collection focuses on three principles: superior craftsmanship, performance fabrics and a modern vintage style. Take a look at the video above and hear from Graeme McDowell himself about the history and ideas behind the G-Mac by Kartel collection!
With those three principles in mind, the Graeme and Kartel built an impressive collection of beautifully crafted items with an exception focus on a slim, modern cut with vintage styling. The search for the finest fabrics resulted in the highest quality yarns that are responsive, lightweight and flexible, yet strong enough to withstand any climate. Designed to have a stylish, sophisticated feel, Graeme McDowell officially began wearing the G-Mac by Kartel collection in January 2012. Below, you’ll see a behind the scenes look at a photoshoot for the G-Mac by Kartel autumn and winter 2013 collection, featuring Graeme himself – you’re definitely going to get the modern, vintage vibe!
