Course of the Week: Tobiano Golf Course

Over the following months, we’re going to be featuring golf courses in each of the provinces across Canada, starting with British Columbia. B.C. is Canada’s westernmost province and is set between the Pacific Ocean in the west and the amazing Rocky Mountains in the east. These breathtaking landscapes are sure to provide some amazing views when playing on a golf course!

The first B.C. course we’re going to feature is Tobiano Golf Course, located in the city of Kamloops, about 3 to 4 hours north of Vancouver. Tobiano offers a golf experience unlike anywhere else in the world – it offers a unique ranch style golf experience, set among rugged bench lands. All 18 holes include views of the rugged Columbia and Cascade Mountains and surrounded by Kamloops Lake. The course sits softly on the land, being built into the natural flow of the terrain – the result is a course that really looks like it belongs with the landscape.

There is an amazing view of Kamloops Lake from every hole; the front nine features desert dunes and lush green fairways while the back nine offers open rangeland, ravines, and bluffs. White silica sand bunkers and scenic gullies define and bisect many of the holes. Definitely a challenging golf course for golfers of all levels!

If you have a suggestion of a great golf course somewhere in Canada, leave a comment and let us know!
