In this week’s Course of the Week feature, we move on to the province of Quebec! Located in Mont-Tremblant, approximately 130 kilometers (81 miles) northwest of Montreal and 140 kilometers (87 miles) northeast of Ottawa, this area is most well known for its famous ski resort. However, there are many activities that are available at Mont-Tremblant and of course, golf is one of them! One of the province’s best course is located there and it is named Le Diable, or in English,”the Devil.”
Cutting through the heart of a red pine forest, Le Diable plays 7,056 yards from the back tees. Being the main attraction of golf packages in Quebec, Le Diable present challenges everywhere as red sand bunkers and long, narrow fairways test the accuracy and patience of golfers. However, Le Diable have 12-minute start time intervals for each group, allowing golfers to carefully think over each shot! But make sure to keep the pace up and hit your golf shots while we’re still young! Le Diable was named “best public golf course” by Score Golf Magazine in 2002 and raved reviews are still common. If you are ever in the area, make sure to play Le Diable and see if it lives up to its devilish name!
