Our Canadian Province feature continues as we make our stop this week at Furry Creek Golf and Country Club! Located just 35 minutes north of Vancouver, British Columbia, Furry Creek is a par 72, 18-hole golf course that was built in 1993 and designed by Robert Muir Graves. It is most well known for its panoramic ocean views as it is located along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway to world renowned ski resort, Whistler.
Most often described as British Columbia’s most scenic golf course, Furry Creek offer golfers an incredible challenge of mountain golf through its up and down terrain. However, the spectacular and breathtaking views throughout the duration of a golf round more than makes up for the challenge. The appreciation of the beauty of Furry Creek stretches far and wide with numerous films and commercials often using the course as a setting. One of the most memorable scene from Furry Creek took place on “Happy’s Hole,” hole #9, where Happy Gilmore and Bob Barker teamed up for a round of golf in the 1996 film, Happy Gilmore!
