A fairway bunker shot may be one of the shots that most golfers have difficulties with. It’s a shot that’s already quite challenging with an iron but with a fairway wood, the difficulty increases even more! In the latest Callaway Office Tips, Matt Haneline is joined by Callaway ambassador, Danny Lee, to give us a few tips on hitting a fairway wood out of a bunker!
Just like fellow Callaway ambassador Lydia Ko, Danny Lee was born in South Korea and emigrated to New Zealand at a very young age. With two professional victories under his belt, better things are surely ahead for Danny. To hit a fairway wood out of a bunker, Danny suggests that we bury our feet in the sand as we don’t want to move around too much. Because of this, we should also choke down on the club and make sure we don’t swing too hard as we want to stay really centre to ensure good contact with the ball!
