The iconic Stan Smith sneaker by Adidas is getting some upgrades this year, but they didn’t stop there. For the first time in the history of the brand, Adidas is bringing this classic silhouette that has transcended sport and style to golfers everywhere. In preparation for the first major of the year, Adidas Golf is introducing a limited edition – Stan Smith Golf – to give golfers a versatile and more sustainable option to sport their style on the course.
Always iconic, and now more sustainable, this limited edition spikeless version of the shoe features a PRIMEGREEN upper made with high-performance recycled materials (minimum 50% recycled content). The distinctive green colorway makes a statement that speaks to our journey to END PLASTIC WASTE.
In addition to helping the environment, this version of the Stan Smith utilizes an adiwear rubber spikeless outsole with traction inspired by the shoe’s original sole design. The small lugs will give golfers traction when they need it, but the versatility to wear the shoe anywhere. Adidas Golf also added a die-cut PU sockliner and additional PU cushioning in the midsole to provide golf-specific support in every step. Subtle features like a removable white kiltie that houses a gold-colored ball marker with our Trefoil logo also give the well-known model some distinctive characteristics to push on-course style even further.
The Stan Smith is one of the most recognized footwear silhouettes in the world. The shoe has become part of the wardrobe for so many people over the last few decades, so to finally bring that same vibe, personality and style to the course is somethin we know a lot of golfers will be excited about.
