Jack Nicklaus is a legendary golfer and Miura Golf is a legend in its own right, known for the world’s finest forged golf clubs through its precise craftsmanship. Although Miura had previous collaborations with MacKenzie Golf Bags and Korean golfer KJ Choi before, this latest collaboration between Jack Nicklaus and Miura brings another level of excitement. The reason – the two legends have united to create the Nicklaus-Miura Commemorative irons.
Like all great golfers, Jack Nicklaus is very particular about his golf clubs. His specific preference is an uniform offset through his set of irons, which allows him to deliver the ball flight he wants and to achieve performance consistently. A modern version of the Nicklaus blade has to be carefully crafted and the experienced hands of Katsuhiro Miura is definitely up to the task. Subtle grinding techniques were used to not only mold an unique look and sole of these irons but also the neck of the club, where Jack Nicklaus would get confidence by the look of the club at address.
These artisan irons will be released in limited quantities. They will start at a price of $2,750 USD (3-iron to PW) however, you must first fill out a form on the Miura website for a chance to purchase these commemorative irons. Expected arrival date of these irons will be in early 2021. Like the Taylormade P7TW irons, the question is, if you’re lucky enough to buy these irons, will you be playing them or will you mount them on your wall as artwork?
