The PGA Tour season restarted recently at the Charles Schwab Challenge at
Colonial Country Club, where Daniel Berger came out with the victory. Webb Simpson followed up with his own victory on Father’s Day at the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town. It was seven years ago that Webb also won on Father’s Day but that victory was his first major title at the 2012 US Open!
Given the situation with the worldwide pandemic, the world has been turned upside down and sports have not been an exception. The year’s first major championship would’ve been the Masters in April but it has been tentatively rescheduled for November 9-15. The 2020 PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park has been rescheduled for August 3-9 and it has been confirmed to be played without fans while the the 120th US Open has been rescheduled for September 17-20, 2020, at Winged Foot Golf Club.
Winged Foot Golf Club last hosted the US Open in 2006. Of course, that tournament is best known for Phil Mickelson’s infamous collapse on the 72nd hole of the championship. With recent positive cases of Covid-19 on the PGA Tour in recent days, it is anyone’s guess if the season will continue. But if it does, we take a look at the West Course at Winged Foot Golf Club in the flyover video above. This will give us an insight on what defending champion Gary Woodland and the rest of the field will face at the 2020 US Open!
