Today would’ve been round 1 of the 2020 Masters but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the world has been put on pause. Normally, we would be discussing Rory McIlory’s chances of completing his career Grand Slam. Being ranked number one in the world and playing arguably the best golf of his career, the likelihood of things coming together for Rory seems high.
Quiet scenes from Augusta as the world of golf awaits November 9 – 15, the intended dates for the 2020 Masters.

Despite the year’s first major being postponed, the good news is that the Masters has been tentatively rescheduled for November 9-15. Although the Open Championship decided to cancel their tournament for 2020, the 120th US Open has been rescheduled for September 17-20, 2020, at Winged Foot Golf Club while the 2020 PGA Championship has been rescheduled for August 3-9. This is, of course, dependent on clearance from the public health authorities.
Although we won’t be seeing the world’s best golfers compete at Augusta National Golf Club this week, we hear from Rory as he sat down with Whoop in their latest podcast to discuss various topics. Aside from the 2011 Masters collapse and the bounce back victory at the 2011 US Open, their conversation also includes how Whoop, the fitness tracker, has helped him improve on and off the course.
