Twenty-two years after the release of Scotty Cameron’s groundbreaking, major-winning Teryllium-inserted putter design, the new 2019 Teryllium T22 limited release putters deliver updated performance in three new putter models — T22 Newport, T22 Newport 2 and T22 Fastback 1.5 — offering the same unmistakable feel of the originals, reimagined and updated for the demands of today’s golfers. The Teryllium T22 limited release putters will be available this Friday, August 16.
The updated, lightly-milled Teryllium insert is fused with an improved vibration dampening system that pairs perfectly with 303 stainless steel to preserve the unmistakablely responsive feel of Teryllium. Scotty’s early execution of the multi-material construction concept has been improved using modern milling and manufacturing techniques with a precision-fit Teryllium insert expertly designed into a 303 stainless steel putter head for modern weight distribution and close-tolerance insert compatibility.
These putters are also equipped with Scotty’s modern vibration dampening system. Each T22 putter incorporates the classic “domino pattern” displayed by the white elastomer membrane in the back cavity, while current technology expertly fuses the Teryllium insert to the putter head for enhanced vibration dampening. A new Pistolini Plus grip accented with copper paintfill made to match the color of the Teryllium insert was designed especially for the T22 release and features a thicker, less tapered low hand.
Teryllium T22 putters feature advanced stability weighting with removable stainless steel heel-toe sole weights allowing customization per player preference to bring the T22 line up to today’s weighting standards. Updated toplines are thinner and squared off with a unique beveled radius for a confident setup at address. Aesthetically pleasing and engineered to knock down sun glare, the misted stainless steel putter head of each T22 is treated with a tactical matte black finish for enhanced durability, improving upon the earlier models’ corrosion-prone carbon steel construction. Celebrating the history of Scotty’s Teryllium putters, each Teryllium T22 comes with a custom Limited Release Teryllium T22 headcover.
