Wilson Golf have been making irons for a long time. As seen in Jonathan Wall’s tweet below, the “brand has notched at least one major win with their irons every decade going back to Gene Sarazen at the 1922 US Open.” This streak continued this past week when Gary Woodland, who plays the Wilson Staff Model Blades, captured his first major title at the 2019 US Open at Pebble Beach.

Last week, Wilson Golf continued to add to their impressive lineup of irons when they introduced the C300 Forged Gun Metal Irons. Aesthetically, these irons are beauties with their stealthy mirrored gun metal finish but performance and feel of the clubs are also highly prioritized. This is achieved by using soft 8620 Forged Carbon Steel for its construction. In addition, as with the original C300 Forged Irons, the Gun Metal irons will feature “five power holes in double row configuration on the sole for supreme forgiveness and an expanded sweet spot.” A Power Hole can also be found on the toe of the irons to add yardage and accuracy.
The new irons will come with Lamkin Crossline White grips, and KBS Tour 105-gram steel stiff shaft for a mid-launch trajectory or the Fujikura Pro 85-gram graphite shaft. The C300 Forged Gun Metal Irons will be priced at $999.99 for a stock set that consists of 4-GW.
