Kevin Kisner Wins 2019 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play

Last year, Kevin Kisner lost in the finals of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play to Bubba Watson. It was a 7 & 6 thumping but this year, Kisner fought his way back to the finals and this time, he emerged victorious over Matt Kuchar 3 & 2 for his third PGA Tour victory. Previously, Kevin had won at the 2015 RSM Classic and the 2017 Colonial, formerly known as the Dean & Deluca Invitational.

Kevin Kisner had quite the road to the finals of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play. After defeating Ian Poulter in a playoff to get out of his group, Kevin had to take down Haotong Li, Louis Oosthuizen and defending Open Champion Francesco Molinari to get to the finals. With such great performances in this match play format, one has to wonder if it was a mistake that Kevin Kisner was left off the 2018 Ryder Cup team.

Next week, the PGA Tour travels to San Antonio for the Valero Texas Open. This is the last tournament before the year’s first major championship and with Kisner’s game in peak form, do you think he would be one of the favourites at Augusta National? If not, who’s your pick? Let us know in the comments below!
