Dustin Johnson is often regarded as one of the most talented golfers on the PGA Tour. DJ finally broke through for his first major championship in 2016 when he won the US Open at Oakmont Country Club. He also reached the status of being number one golfer in the world.
Since then, Dustin Johnson has been overtaken by a few golfers and the status of being number one golfer in the world has been revolving. One of those golfers is Dustin’s good friend, Brooks Koepka, who catapulted himself into one of the best players in the world when he won back to back US Opens at Erin Hills and Shinnecock. Brooks also added a PGA Championship title this past season when he fought off Tiger Woods at Bellerive.
Despite their good friendship, Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka were rumoured to have gotten into a fight after the Ryder Cup in France. In the Golfing World interview above, DJ jokingly says he’ll “fight” Brooks in order to reclaim the number one spot. He also discusses his rivalry with other golfers such as Justin Rose and Justin Thomas. With these golfers all seemingly on top of their game lately, it looks to be quite the fight in the upcoming season!
