Justin Thomas Wins WGC-Bridgestone Invitational

Justin Thomas cruised to victory on Sunday at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, carding a final round 69 to finish at 15-under-par and win the last event held at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio – Firestone has hosted the tournament since it’s inception in 1999 and became one of the most iconic courses in PGA TOUR history. The event will be moved to Memphis next year.

Paired with Rory McIlroy as the last pairing on Sunday, Thomas kept his cool and ended up defeating the field by four strokes and capturing his third win of the season (The CJ Cup at Nine Bridges, The Honda Classic). Watch highlights from the final round in the video above. It couldn’t have been better timing for Justin Thomas to pick up a victory – he’ll head to Bellerive for the 2018 PGA Championship this week in hopes to defend his title against the likes of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson and more.
