Another Masters has passed and Rory McIlroy is still looking for his first victory at Augusta National Golf Club to complete his career Grand Slam. Heading into the final round, Rory was 3-shots back from eventual champion Patrick Reed. He was within one shot after the first two holes of the final round but it just wasn’t meant to be.
As Rory mentions in the interview with CNN’s Living Golf, Shane O’Donoghue, he was unable to get into a rhythm all day. This was apparent in his final round score of 2-over 74. Despite the disappointment of not completing the career Grand Slam, Rory views it as a positive experience in his reflection of the year’s first major and he comes away convinced that he will eventually win the Masters one day.
