Bubba Watson won the Genesis Open for the third time this past week, the 10th victory of his career. It was his first victory since his win at Riviera two years ago. He finished at 12-under par and moved to No. 41 in the world from No. 117, which makes him eligible for the World Golf Championship-Mexico Championship in two weeks.
Its been a rough two years for Bubba who was ranked No. 4 in the world at his last win at Riviera, then known as the Northern Trust Open. He’s struggled on the course and has even contemplated retirement with his wife lately. This win should change his mindset, especially with the Masters coming up soon – and we all know what he can do at Augusta! Watch highlights from his emotional victory in the video above.
On another note, Tiger Woods was again a massive draw, but unfortunately, he missed the cut. He’ll have a lot of work to do with his driver over the next few days as he was really wayward off the tee. We won’t have to wait long to see Tiger again though as he’ll tee it up at the Honda Classic next week in his first back-to-back PGA TOUR starts in over a year!
