The 2018 Sentry Tournament of Champions was held at the Kapalua Resort’s Plantation Course on Maui, Hawaii this past weekend. It was the first PGA Tour tournament of the 2018 calendar year and world number 1 golfer Dustin Johnson had a statement victory.
In the final round, DJ shot an 8-under 65 to win the tournament by 8 shots. It was dominating in every way as he overpowered Kapalua with his monster drives but he was also accurate with his approach shots and sharp with his short game. It seems Dustin is returning to the form he had before the freak accident last year on the day before the 2017 Masters.
This marks the 11th consecutive season where Dustin has at least one victory. And if this victory was any indication, expect DJ to add to his total of 17 Tour victories this season.
