Although caddies never hit a golf shot, they are instrumental in the success of their players. In this year’s past Open Championship, we saw a perfect example as caddie Michael Greller guided Jordan Spieth to his third major title.
Despite the success of the Spieth-Greller relationship, we also saw the breakup of a few high profile caddie-player relationship this year. Among them is Phil Mickelson and his former right-hand man, Jim ‘Bones’ Mackay as well as Rory McIlroy and JP Fitzgerald.
