In the last tournament before the 2017 FedEx Cup playoffs begin, Henrik Stenson out-dueled Ollie Schniederjans at the Wyndham Championship for his first worldwide victory since winning the Open at Royal Troon last year.
With a final round of 6-under 64, Henrik got to 22-under for the tournament and set a new tournament scoring record at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, NC. Ollie Schniederjans gave it his best shot, making birdie on the 17th and 18th hole to get to 21-under. However, the Iceman had an answer as he made birdies on the 16th and a clutch 27-foot putt for birdie on the 17th as well. That would prove to be the difference as Henrik hung on for a one-shot victory to win the 2017 Wyndham Championship.
