Jon Rahm is still a rookie on the PGA TOUR, but he sure isn’t playing like one! Prior to turning professional, he was the number one golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for a recrd 60 weeks and was also the low amateur during the 2016 US Open Championship. He captured his first win earlier this season at the 2017 Farmers Insurance Open.
Recently, he also captured the 2017 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open and has his game in the right place heading into this week’s Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. After starting the season ranked 766 in the Official World Golf Ranking, he has now broken into the Top 10 at number 7!
