For the first time in five years, Kyle Stanley is in the winner’s circle as he won the 2017 Quicken Loans National this past weekend. After shooting a 4-under 66, Kyle found himself tied for the lead with Charles Howell III at 7-under. It would only take one playoff hole to settle it as Charles bogeyed while Kyle made par, earning him the victory as well as a ticket to the upcoming Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.
Rickie Fowler made quite the push on the final day of the Quicken Loans National as well. He made a career high 9 birdies, including 6 in a 7-hole stretch. However, he ultimately fell short as he went into the clubhouse at 5-under after a final round 5-under 65. Next up on the PGA Tour’s schedule is the Greenbrier Classic however, a few of the big name golfers will be across the pond for the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at Portstewart Golf Club.
