The 117th US Open Championship just concluded yesterday in thrilling fashion with Brooks Koepka shooting a final round 5-under 67 to win his first Major Championship. This year, the US Open was held at Erin Hills Golf Course – the first for the course as well as for the state of Wisconsin.
Erin Hills Golf Course is just 11 years old, opening in 2006. In the video above, Matt Ginella tells the story of how Erin Hills came to be the host of the 2017 US Open and all of the trials and errors that the owners went through to make this Championship a reality.
