The US Open is being held this week at Erin Hills Golf Course, where Dustin Johnson is set to defend his title. He’s had a great start to his week so far with the reported birth of his second son on Monday – what a win it would be for Johnson if he were to capture his second major on Father’s Day again!
Since his breakthrough victory last year at Oakmont Country Club, Johnson has been on fire. He finished 2016 as the Player of the Year and started off the 2016-17 season winning three straight starts at the Genesis Open, the WGC-Mexico Championship and the WGC-Dell Matchplay Championship. Unfortunately, due to an untimely fall, he wasn’t able to take this hot streak into Augusta. However, hopefully, he’s able to put together a great week at Erin Hills – he’s definitely one of the favourites this year!
