Brian Harman Wins Wells Fargo Championship

The 2017 Wells Fargo Championship took place for the first time at Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, NC. Last year, James Hahn beat Roberto Castro with a par on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff to earn his second PGA TOUR title. This year, we were treated with even more excitement as Brian Harman made a 28-foot birdie putt to win on the 72nd hole! Watch highlights from the final round in the video above!

This was Harman’s second PGA TOUR victory (first being the 2014 John Deere Classic) and ended World Number 1 Dustin Johnson’s hopes of winning a fourth straight title. Johnson returned from injury to shoot a five-under 67 in the final round to set the clubhouse lead at nine-under par. In his last five starts, Johnson has finished 3rd, 1st, 1st, 1st and T2. The players now head to TPC Sawgrass for the THE PLAYERS’ Championship, which begins on Thursday.
