This week, the top 64 golfers in the world will congregate at the Austin Country Club in Austin, Texas for the 2017 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play. There will be no “one and done” in this tournament though as all players will be guaranteed at least three matches this week. The first three days of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play will consist of round robin group play. On days four and five, players will start making their exits as single-elimination matches start taking place.
This will be the second of four World Golf Championship events in 2017. World number one Dustin Johnson won the WGC-Mexico Championship in early March and as usual, he will be a strong contender in this event. However, Jason Day is the defending champion of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play and he will try to defend his title as well as recapture the number one spot in the Official Golf World Rankings.
