After an exciting finish at the SBS Tournament of Champions, the PGA Tour will island hop from Maui to Honolulu for the 2017 Sony Open. It will be the first full field of 2017, which includes 9 defending champions and 13 rookies.
Among them are Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas (who shot 59 in the first round today!) and the next hottest player on tour right now, Japanese Hideki Matsuyama. Defending champion Fabiazn Gomez will attempt to repeat as champion but it certainly won’t be an easy task, especially with those three in the field.
