Rod Pampling Wins 2016 Shriners Hospitals For Children Open

Although we are at the beginning of the 2016-17 PGA Tour season, many players are in the midst of their off season. However, there are tournaments on the schedule and this past week, the 2016 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open was held at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.

47-year old Australian Rod Pampling opened the week with a course-record 11-under 60. Although he trailed former US Open Champion Lucas Glover by one shot in the final round, Rod Pampling was steady enough to pull off the victory with a solid round of 65. He was also clutch as he nailed a 32-foot birdie putt on the 72nd hole to capture his first victory on the PGA Tour in 10 years.
