Most of the top players in the world will be at this week’s WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai. However, there’s still a tournament on the PGA Tour and that’s the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi. The tournament will be played at the Country Club of Jackson for the 3rd year in a row and along with past champion Chris Kirk, there will be 21 PGA Tour rookies in the field.
Because of the World Golf Championship in Shanghai, the Sanderson Farms Championship will only offer 300 FedEx Cup points as opposed to 500. However, the winner will still earn a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour and an invitation to the 2017 Tournament of Champions. 11 of the last 15 tournaments have been decided by one stroke or in a playoff so chances are, we can expect an exciting finish on the PGA Tour this weekend!
