For the second year in a row, Justin Thomas is the CIMB Champion at TPC Kuala Lumpur. This marks Justin’s second PGA Tour victory and the second repeat champion in the last four years at the CIMB Classic, with Ryan Moore winning the tournament in 2013 and 2014.
At the start of the final round, Justin Thomas was behind but he was in great position after finishing with five birdies in a row to finish his third round. That hot streak continued in the final round when he shot four birdies in his first five holes, which quickly catapulted him to the top of the leaderboard. The end result was a bogey-free round of 8-under, 64 and a trip to the winner’s circle with a 3-shot victory.
