Dustin Johnson had a breakthrough year in the 2015-16 PGA Tour season. He won three times, including his first Major title at the US Open at Oakmont Country Club, the WGC-Bridgestone Championship and the BMW Championship during the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
Due to these standout performances during the season, Dustin Johnson has been honoured with the PGA Tour Player of the Year award and joins an impressive list of players who have won this award in the past few years. That list includes Tiger Woods in 2013, Rory McIlroy in 2014 and the obvious choice in 2015, Jordan Spieth, who had himself a remarkable 12 months that included two Majors.
